Unleash your creativity

Hi everyone and welcome back to Karo’s little corner. I hope everyone is feeling amazing. Let’s end this month with another article. Enjoy 🙂

Recently, I wrote an article about the different ways people can find their talents. If you haven’t read it, I would suggest you do so before continuing reading this one (the link will be added below). I know that the process of finding your talent is complicated, and I would be delusional if I thought that in the span of two months, most of you already found yours. Nonetheless, for those of you who have, today I will share with you 10 apps that can help you unleash your creativity step by step.

We live in a world where social media and the online life is slowly consuming all of us. Although it may have a lot of bad effects on our productivity, on our mental health, and on our social life, used wisely, there is also a lot of good that comes from the internet, one of them being the easy access to some tools.

Based on your talent, you may find a lot of free apps and websites that can either help you practice or to showcase your work to the world.

Here are the top 10 apps that I would recommend (Ps: I haven’t tried all of them)

1. Canva. Personally, one of my favorite apps, Canva is an online editing and designing tool. The app offers a variety of templates to choose from, but it also lets you create your own. If you like anything related to art, design… this is the right app for you. There’s also a premium version that offers more possibility. So, download it now and start creating.

2. Pinterest. Pinterest is another great app that allows users to discover and share visual content through images or “pins.” Basically, with Pinterest you can go through other people’s creations to get inspired. Often people joke about their talent by saying “I graduated from Pinterest University”, it’s because you can learn so much on there, whether it’s about style, design, arts and crafts, cooking, almost everything you could think of. It also allows you to share with others your creation.

3. Medium. Recently, a coworker suggested this app that I’ve never heard about before, so I decided to look into it. Medium is an online publishing platform designed for writers, bloggers, and content creators to share their ideas, stories, and perspectives with a large and engaged audience. The great thing about this app is that it allows you to earn money through your content too.

4. WordPress. I became a writer thanks to WordPress, which is a platform that can be used to create websites for businesses, bloggers, and anyone who wants to create an online presence.

5. Guitar tuna. As a self-taught guitar player, I have been using Guitar Tuna for a while now and I can’t complain. This app helps me tune my guitar quickly and accurately no matter where I am. But that’s not all, the app includes a chord library which allows users to learn new chords and practice playing them.

6. Yousician. Yousician is also another great app for musician as it allows you either to practice or to learn multiple instruments such as guitar, bass, ukulele, piano…

7. Free form. A few months ago, I updated my phone, and the update came with this app that I’ve never heard of before. It may not be available for everyone (only the latest iOS versions) but if you are a visual creator, this might be the app for you. It’s basically a whiteboard or a canvas that allows you to unleash your creativity basically. You can add all kinds of visuals and sketch an idea to turn it into a reality.

8. Instagram. One of the most popular social media platforms that allows users to publish pictures and videos. If you are already an artist and you want to create an audience, use Instagram. It’s free, it’s fun, it’s user friendly and it’s a great way to share your creative work with a wider audience, while connecting with other talented people from everywhere around the globe.

9. Inshot. Inshot is a mobile video and picture editing app. It’s one of the first apps I started using to edit my pictures and I think it’s one of the best. If you are an amateur photographer and you can’t get the hang of the powerful editing software yet, try this one. There is a variety of filters that you can use to enhance your pictures, and lots of editing tools for videos such as adding texts, music, transitions etc…

10. YouTube. Lastly, probably the most popular one of this list, Youtube is another great app for people who are finding their talent or who already found theirs. Unlike Instagram, Youtube is only a video sharing platform where you can either find lots of videos to get inspired or to share your own videos to inspire others. Whatever the case may be, this app can be your new best friend.

So, there you have it people, an article kind of different than what I am used to writing. I hope that it was a fun one and that you will use at least one of them. Like I said in my article about talent, your talent is meant to be shared with others, please don’t keep it to yourself. Talents don’t have borders; they can take you places you wouldn’t even dream about. Now remember, social media can be dangerous, but if you use it wisely, it can be a powerful tool to help you discover, practice, and share your talent with the world.
