We\u2019re getting closer to the end of the year and I just wanted to close this chapter with an article for you. Without further ado, let\u2019s get into today\u2019s topic.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">As I was laying down on my bed thinking about the future a few minutes ago, I came across a friend\u2019s status on WhatsApp which was a countdown for 2022 and the caption was \u201ctime for an introspection\u201d, and just like that I found my topic for today\u2019s article.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1150 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0750.jpg?resize=374%2C343&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"374\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0750.jpg?w=374&amp;ssl=1 374w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0750.jpg?resize=300%2C275&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 374px) 100vw, 374px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">We\u2019re getting closer to the end of the year and there\u2019s a few things that we need to do to end the year beautifully. Here are my top picks of actions to complete before launching 2022:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1149 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0748.jpg?resize=680%2C680&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"680\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0748.jpg?w=680&amp;ssl=1 680w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0748.jpg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0748.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/karoslittlecorner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_0748.jpg?resize=88%2C88&amp;ssl=1 88w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1. Review<\/strong> <strong>your year<\/strong>. How was 2021 for you? Was it bad or good? It\u2019s important to look at everything you\u2019ve accomplished this year and celebrate your successes. You should also take a look at your failures in order to understand what went wrong and avoid the same mistakes next time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. Be grateful. <\/strong>Since the end of 2019, we\u2019ve witnessed a lot of tragedies in the world. Here in Ha\u00efti, the last two years have been extremely awful; between street violence, earthquakes, explosions, covid\u2026. it\u2019s a miracle if you\u2019re still alive or haven\u2019t caught covid. Take the time to thank God for the gift of life and pray for the ones who didn\u2019t make it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. Show your appreciation to loved ones<\/strong>. Back in the days, every New Year\u2019s eve I would send long paragraphs to my friends to tell them how much I appreciate them. Sadly I stopped doing that but it\u2019s a great way to practice gratitude as mentioned above. Let your loved ones know how much they mean to you and how you\u2019re grateful for them. Nothing would make me happier than to receive a message from someone telling me how much I mean to them. Don\u2019t hesitate, text someone today and make their day. That simple text can change their entire view of the year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4. Make a list of goals for 2022. <\/strong>Is there anything you want to accomplish in life? Some things that you wanted to do in 2021 that didn\u2019t happen? Write down your goals for 2022 somewhere you can see them. It could be like a bucket list. You\u2019ll cross out everything once you\u2019ve completed them. \u201c<em>A goal without a timeline is just a dream<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>5. Clean<\/strong>. Growing up, my mom would always make sure that my brothers and I clean our room before Christmas and remove everything we no longer need. Sometimes the room was so clean we didn\u2019t even want to sleep on the bed to not mess it up. Clean your room, your house, your car, your office, anything that belongs to you. Remove things that you no longer need, whether it\u2019s clothes, electronic gadgets, memories from a past lover&#8230; Stop holding on to the past. I have been telling everyone around me that God is going to bless me abundantly in 2022. I don\u2019t know how, I don\u2019t know when but I feel it. That\u2019s why it\u2019s important for me to make space to receive the blessings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>6. Forgive<\/strong>. I know a lot of you will disagree with me on this but part of the cleaning process is to free up your mind. Let go of the hurt so you can move forward. Forgive those who hurt you and move on. The more you hold unto that hurt, the harder it will be to move on. Forgive yourself first and then proceed to forgive those who hurt you. Leave them in 2021. It\u2019s not worth it. \u201c<em>Vengeance is mine says the Lord<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>7. Rest<\/strong>. Last but not least, take a minute to breath and ease your mind. I\u2019m sure 2021 was hard for a lot of us. Do something that makes you happy, sit back and relax.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">2022 will be a year of prosperity for us. Claim it, manifest it. Don\u2019t let anything hold you back. Start the year fresh by being well rested and optimistic. If you apply at least one of my tips I promise you\u2019ll start the new year differently. 2021 was really hard on me despite some great things that happened. I applied some of those tips and I can already see the difference.
