I know It\u2019s been like two days since I had published my last one but heyy there are no rules over here\ud83d\ude09\ud83d\ude01. Today, we\u2019re going to talk about HAPPINESS \ud83d\udc83\ud83c\udffd\ud83d\udc83\ud83c\udffd. It\u2019s an exciting subject and I hope that I\u2019ll be able to deliver. I have finals coming up so you won\u2019t hear from me for at least two weeks so enjoy\u00a0this one. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever been so happy before but all that because I started to love myself more. So this post is kind of the <em>part two <\/em>of the \u201cSelf love\u2026.\u201d one. I wasn\u2019t always so optimistic but I\u2019ve learned to trust God and I am certain that he knows what he\u2019s doing. Why should you stress about something that you cannot change or that cannot be undone??\ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffd\u200d\u2640\ufe0f X or Z didn\u2019t happen like you would\u2019ve preferred because maybe in your head it was the best option but in reality it wasn\u2019t. If you\u2019re a believer, this is the step where you have to just put your trust in God and let him be the one to guide your life. Two years ago, I\u2019ve had a panic attack after an exam, I had to be rushed to the hospital so that I could get oxygen. All that because I was stressing over a situation that couldn\u2019t be undone. It\u2019s serious guys and it\u2019s real.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #2 :<\/strong> <strong>Speak positivity into your life\ud83d\udcaf\ud83d\udcaf. <\/strong>I have read somewhere that the things we say, the way we speak, the way we think, can affect our lives. If we speak negativity, then negativity will manifest in our lives. But if we speak positivity, then positivity will manifest in our lives. My mom taught me this so well. For example, she could say something like \u201c<em>When you\u2019re married, I\u2019ll do this or that\u2026.\u201d <\/em>and I would answer like \u201c<em>Sa k diw m ap marye?<\/em>\u201d (creole for who said I\u2019ll get married) and she would answer and say that the words that come out of my mouth are powerful and that I should not take anything lightly (I\u2019m single btw\ud83e\udd23jk). Start speaking positivity into your life\u2714\ufe0f. <em>Yes you will pass the class with a 80+, You will get that promotion, You will get the job, You will do good\u2026..<\/em>Make this a priority and watch how your life will change\ud83d\ude09\ud83e\udd17\ud83d\ude18.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #3 : Try new things\u2728.<\/strong> Like I said in the last article, you need to find a passion (like today)\ud83d\ude44. The best way to find your passion is to try new things. I don\u2019t know about you guys but the idea of trying something new, the excitement of doing something for the first time makes me really happy. I have a whole bucket list of things I wanna try and I know every single one of them will make me happy\ud83d\ude01\ud83d\ude01. When trying new things, I\u2019d say to just go with something you\u2019ve always wanted to do. Don\u2019t limit yourself. Even if the happiness might be for a short period, it\u2019s a great step when creating your own happiness. All my life I\u2019ve wanted to know how to swim. I\u2019d never found the opportunity to do so and I became afraid of pools (not really the ocean but mostly the swimming pools). I\u2019d have nightmares about drowning. One time, a coworker told me that it was unsafe for me to be working with kids and not knowing how to swim. She told me that she\u2019d teach me (she\u2019s a swimming teacher). I jumped on the opportunity and although I had cried most of the times during practice and I still haven\u2019t fully recovered from my fear, swimming makes me really happy.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #4 : Social media detox\ud83d\udcf5\ud83d\udeae. <\/strong>I\u2019ve mentioned this already but I think I should put it here too. If you\u2019re someone who uses social media a lot and you\u2019re trying to be happy, do a social media detox. Detach yourself from your favorites apps. Social media has this power over us. A study have shown that social media\u2019s apps can led in increasing feelings of depression, anxiety, poor body image and loneliness. If you\u2019re someone who isn\u2019t comfortable in your body, being on social media and seeing how society portrays what can be considered as beautiful, can make you feel sad or miserable. If you\u2019re unhappy, seeing other people having the time of their lives can also mess up your happiness. So take a break, learn how to be ok with yourself, with your situation and then go back.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #5 : Stop seeking for acceptance\ud83d\udeab. <\/strong>I strongly feel like we only try hard to be accepted when we don\u2019t feel comfortable in our own skin. Like we\u2019re trying so hard for others to like us and it\u2019s just sad\ud83d\ude2a. You can\u2019t be happy if you\u2019re constantly concerned about what others think of you. You\u2019ll live a life of stress because you always wanna do what everyone else is doing, you wanna look perfect etc\u2026 When this happens, you value other people\u2019s opinions over your own and when their opinion is different than yours (which happens in most of the cases), you\u2019ll become upset and sad. So don\u2019t wait, STOP NOW!!!!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #6 : Avoid arguments\ud83d\ude45\ud83c\udffe\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\ude45\ud83c\udffe\u200d\u2640\ufe0f. <\/strong>In the past two years I have learned that sometimes it\u2019s better to stay silent\ud83e\udd2b. What\u2019s the point of bickering non stop? It\u2019s better to just expose how you\u2019re feeling and if someone else doesn\u2019t agree with it, it\u2019s okay. Don\u2019t try to point out that you\u2019re right. Just let it go. As humans we\u2019re all different. We won\u2019t always agree on everything because we have different opinions and it\u2019s normal\ud83d\udde3. Stop forcing your opinion on others. Don\u2019t say stuffs while you\u2019re angry. You\u2019ll regret them later\u2639\ufe0f.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #7 : Appreciate the little things\ud83e\udd17\u2764. <\/strong>It\u2019s the little things that matter the most. Sometimes we focus on big things, on achievements but we often forget where we came from and how we got there. We have so many blessings in this life that we don\u2019t even acknowledge. Being able to wake up everyday, being able to breath is a blessing. Being grateful makes you realize the good side of everything that has been happening in your life. Always thank people for what they do for you. Once you become grateful you\u2019ll attract positivity into your life \ud83d\ude09.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<em>Enjoy the little things in life because one day you\u2019ll look back and realize they were the big things<\/em>.\u201d Kurt Vonnegut<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #8 : Give more, expect less\ud83d\udcaf\ud83d\udcaf. <\/strong>Expectations aren\u2019t real. They are just our imagination telling us what would be the ideal situation and that\u2019s why most of the times, things don\u2019t go as we expected. When we expect less from people we save our little hearts from disappointments and sadness\ud83d\udc94. Cause when you don\u2019t receive back the energy that you gave, you\u2019ll feel sad and we don\u2019t want sadness over here. No no\ud83d\ude45\ud83c\udffe\u200d\u2640\ufe0f!Only good vibes and good energy! Like I said last time, you are the only person responsible of your happiness. Do not depend on others to be happy. Always give 100, you\u2019ll always be the bigger person. I strongly believe that the more you give, the more you\u2019ll get\ud83c\udf89\ud83c\udf8a.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #9 : Let go of the past\ud83d\udeb6\ud83c\udffd\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\udeb6\ud83c\udffd\u200d\u2640\ufe0f.<\/strong> Letting go is mandatory. If you keep looking back, you\u2019ll never move forward. If a situation has hurt you and you keep thinking about it all the time, you\u2019ll always be drown in sadness. You won\u2019t be able to appreciate life as it is because you\u2019re stuck in the past. It\u2019s only acceptable to look back in the past to take notes of what you did wrong in order to become a better version of you but once that is done, you should just keep moving forward and leave the past where it belongs. The past cannot be changed. It can only help us to change our state of mind. Accept what happened and move on\ud83d\ude4c\ud83c\udffe.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tip #10 : Practice forgiveness\ud83d\udc6b\ud83e\udd1d\ud83c\udffe. <\/strong>Last but not least, learn to forgive others in order to become happy. Forgiveness is accepting that things have happened and there\u2019s nothing that we can do about it. Forgiveness is letting go of any pain that a situation has caused us. When we forgive, we feel free and freedom is a step forward in finding happiness. Forgiveness brings a peace of mind. Holding grudges is unhealthy because you\u2019re living with anger or hatred in your heart. You\u2019ll never be truly happy if you don\u2019t forgive others.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cIt hurts more to hold grudges than to forgive; the anger we hold inside damages us. Do not be prisoners of yourselves \u201d .- <\/em>Unknown<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Well, this is a wrap for today guys.
